Monthly finance services
Bookkeeping and CFO Services are separate services and one isn't required for the other. A lot of companies start with bookkeeping and then add on CFO services once they are ready. Other companies already have a bookkeeping relationship that works for them, but also need some additional finance support. We can work alongside your existing bookkeeper — no problem.

Bookkeeping FAQ
-
Yes. A 1x $750 setup fee is charged the first month and covers clean-up and/or set-up for your Quickbooks Online account. This applies whether you already have a Quickbooks account or have yet to set one up. If you already have a Quickbooks account, we will get into your chart of accounts and start cleaning it up. If you don't have an account, we will build it out from scratch.
Includes:

Facilitating bank synching
Receipt and Statement tracking

No businesses' bookkeeping needs are 100% the same. Additionally, no month for a specific business's bookkeeping needs is exactly the same. Some months require more or less than others, and that is totally normal. To this end, the starting rate is the minimum fee for the month with an available time/fee overage that will be added if applicable.
The starting at rate covers up to 6 hours of bookkeeping a month. If more time is needed we can tap into an overage of up to an additional 4 hours (or more if requested/approved) for the month. The overage fee will be invoiced at the end of the month.
If we find that you always end up needing a specific number of hours for the month over the 6 hours included in the minimum fee, then we can adjust the fee to match ongoing moving forward. For example, if we know we are going to need 8 hours each month as a new baseline then the monthly rate would adjust to $1,000.

Getting your business in a "flow-state" of bookkeeping takes some effort:
Often, the first few months take more time to get everything in a good flow. The accounting controls and cycle need to be customized to your specific business's needs. Financial analysis goals need to be uncovered to determine the necessary level of detail to code transactions so that financially informed decision-making can be made.
Transaction volume varies from month to month
Some months have more demands than others: (i.e., in January we close the prior year's books as well as issue 1099s to contractors)

We can clean up past months of books that you haven't already hired us to complete. Each month of clean-up is treated the same way we treat bookkeeping for current months ($750 + an applicable overage).
We recommend having a full year of cleaned and correct books for taxes. Therefore, if you hire us mid-year, we recommend that you catch up by having us clean up the prior months as well.
